NAVY: Deployment is 6-7 months with a 7-month maximum. No 12-month deployment with Navy. Shore commands (hospitals) are non-deployable units. Operational commands deploy every 18 months to 2 years and are assigned to a boat/marines. On the “green side,” you will only do 1 deployment as of right now aka 2017.
