Black photographers. Feb 7, 2020 · In 1963, responding to their underrepresentation in the art world, two groups of African American photographers met in New York and decided to join forces. The result was a collective called Kamoinge.

In celebration of Black History Month and the role color plays in our lives, we spoke to three photographers, who are all part of the Black Woman Photographers collective, about their work and how they explore their subject matters with color. Daniella Almona.
