Goped liquimatic

I've just picked up a GoPed Liquimatic and I'm trying to decide whether I should remove the torque converter or keep it. What are the pros and cons? It seems as if the low end torque doesn't transfer very well, but I've seen some people rave about these torque converters.

I got a used Goped Liquimatic that I converted into a Sport, Black Magic .710 spindle. new 1.5 tank+ lines. Ped needed alot care & work; seems to run good now but the carb is leaking and it doesn't run right. is this factory carb? any help? what's a good replacement carb if needed, trying to stay stockish...Is there any way to make this a direct drive goped or would it be better to find a new torque converter? Sorry for the long wait...basically just remove the torque converter and put a spindle on it. I also suggest 2 engine protection washers instead of a third bearing, since they supposedly remove 1k rpm.
