I think they are worth it, but when it comes to the COMP Mod. $4000+ is a little much.The Staccato P DPO is slightly larger than an M&P but smaller than other 1911 pistols. Great shooter and light. 8 + 1 is plenty enough for me, if not I have the wilson x9s that accepts 15+1 in a subcompact package that will outshoot the staccato. I’ve seen a couple people port them and they have said it made a difference for sure with no reliability issues. I shot a buddies Cs and was going to buy one as well but I have a Bul Ultralight. I've noticed that these magazines are as easy to load as the single-stack 45's, since they narrow to single stack for the top 2-3 rounds. I’m a fan of well done grips, the stock grip in my opinion was sub par especially since I have well over 12 guns with STI’s Costa or DVC grips. They are done for STI by Extreme Shooters. It really is a night and day difference. It depends how patient you are or how badly you need the gun. I would anticipate waiting at least 3-4 months for your gun to ship if you don't use the fast track option. For me I got a DLC barrel and love it. The less wear isn't the only benefit. It's smoother all around which makes a difference with these tight tolerances. If you had to guesstimate a % how much would you say. I couldn't give you an exact percentage but at $100, I think it's worth it.

The staccato stuff is as good as anything else as far as the quality of the parts. Staccato internals are all wire edm cut from billet and dlc coated. A good gunsmith can do the same stuff with the factory parts that they can with good aftermarket parts.
