You have to go before the world erodes, otherwise the random trees and shit will make using a car impossible; additionally, there's a city's worth of zombies along and near the base itself, very condensed. Hey if you're still looking, on my way to the military base i found what seemed to be a military boot camp on the way, following the road north of Rosewood, follow the narrow road along the farm lands, in the map it looks like 2 straight yellow buildings beside eachother with a few small houses to one side and a mess hall at the other.Until you find a 1x1 door to a 1x1 Hallway.
