Republic side a lot of servers are good like that. I'm in the same boat as you. I've attempted many servers and I used to play Republic. I play on a RP-PvP server in an amazing guild Republic side and everyone is nice there but the Empire side on the same server is just terrible. It's full of trolls and people arguing about WoW 24/7.

But after the cloud servers were brought in my ping goes crazy and can vary from 340-2000ms, and ping spikes are more common now as well.
